Quickie

Just stopping in to say that today we did this:

Not pics from today; today it was freezing  and we were all bundled up.
Nol has had a cough, but it is allergy related, the doc said he was good to go :)

So no 4 mile race for me.  I most likely would not have run it anyway since I've been experiencing  inner knee pain on my last few runs (and even felt some today with no running :( )  I've never had a problem with this area so I'm really not sure what it could be, but I'm resting for a few days and getting my icing on.
 I'll keep you posted.

Fun Giveaway tomorrow, make sure to stop by :D

Hope your knee troubles turn around and hit the road. You don't need that kind of trouble!

Ice that knee up Katie.

good plan on not racing on a weirded out knee. I get that occasionally. If I run longer than usual or add extra weekly miles. Always best to chill a day or two. There will be tons of other great spring races!

pain in my inner knee here too. Damn, the issue of being a runner.
Cutest picture of the little guy!

THANK you Katie, your comment made ME smile!!!

Sorry I was too lazy to check who had said the sub 1:30 thing... but it's SO true! Can you believe it? to the very precise second! Haha. It's kind of funny though. Such a pure number.

You are a speed demon and I love following you. I'm glad you let your knee rest, a wise runner is one who can get themselves to take time off to heal!!

Rest is the best medicine on your knees. You definitely don't want to aggravate it. When you think you've had enough rest, may I advise that you take shorter choppy strides and work your way back to a full stride during your first workoout. This is just a way that I deal with knee pain when warming up. Don't push too hard too fast. Good luck!

Yay for soccer! It is awesome! I played today too, haha

Bummer about the inner knee pain, I am running into almost the same problem, but I have outer knee pain, good luck with it!

And awesome that you are a Jimmy Eat World fan, I've seen them like 4 times in concert, they always bring the passion! And hopefully you can make it to Coachella sometime!

I had that problem into my knee many years ago: rest and ice.
Good luck and get well soon.

Sorry to hear about the knee pain. My first thought would be the same as yours - ice/heat it and rest.

Hope it works itself out soon!
